On January 6–7, the National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA) delivered a two‑day training, Solutions for Difficult Onsite Wastewater Systems. The training, which was held in partnership with RCAP Solutions, brought together wastewater professionals for in‑depth, hands‑on learning focused on managing complex site conditions and addressing challenging system designs. An optional third‑day Train‑the‑Trainer session followed, providing participants with the tools and guidance needed to become trainers on this topic. Attendees earned up to 15 Training Contact Hours (TCHs) and received full access to all training curriculum and materials to use in the future.
The sessions were highly interactive, with presenters actively engaging participants through discussion, questions, and real‑world problem‑solving exercises. Lunch on the first day was generously sponsored by the Yankee Onsite Wastewater Association (YOWA), which also delivered a 30‑minute presentation highlighting its work and initiatives. In addition, two association members each presented approximately one hour of local technical content, sharing practical insights and professional experience. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many noting the value of the collaborative format and leaving better prepared to address difficult onsite wastewater challenges in their own communities.
